  1. Go to View Profile โ†’ Password
  2. Enter your Current Password

Linking Your ORCID iDโ€‹

ORCID provides a persistent digital identifier for researchers.

  1. Go to View Profile โ†’ Identity
  2. In the ORCID iD section, click Authenticate with ORCID
  3. You are redirected to orcid.org โ€” log in or create an ORCID account
  4. Click Authorize to grant OJS read access to your public profile
  5. You are returned to OJS and your verified ORCID iD is saved automatically
info

Authenticating with ORCID (rather than simply typing your iD) adds a verified badge to your profile and author by-lines. The journal can also push accepted article metadata to your ORCID record if this feature is enabled.

Privacy Settingsโ€‹

OJS collects minimal personal data. To review what is stored:

  1. Go to View Profile โ†’ Privacy
  2. Read the journal's Privacy Statement
  3. Your stored data is limited to the fields in your profile plus system logs
note

OJS does not currently provide a self-service data export or erasure tool. To request deletion of your data, contact the journal manager at the address listed under About โ†’ Contact.

Deleting Your Accountโ€‹

OJS does not offer a self-service account deletion button for readers. To request removal:

  1. Navigate to About โ†’ Contact and email the journal manager
  2. Request that your account and any associated personal data be deleted
  3. The journal manager can deactivate or remove accounts from the administration panel
tip

If you only want to stop receiving emails, you can disable all notifications in View Profile โ†’ Notifications rather than deleting your account entirely.
