Copyeditor

The Copyeditor reviews accepted manuscripts for grammatical correctness, clarity, style consistency, and adherence to the journal's house style — before the manuscript moves to typesetting and production.

Role scope

Copyeditors see only the submissions assigned to them in the copyediting stage. They upload a copyedited version of the manuscript and communicate with the author and editor through discussion threads.

Responsibilities

Task	Description
Copyediting	Correct grammar, spelling, style, and formatting
Author Query	Flag queries for the author via the discussion thread
File Upload	Upload the copyedited manuscript
Completion Notification	Notify the editor when copyediting is complete

Editor sends to Copyediting
        ↓
Copyeditor downloads manuscript
        ↓
Copyeditor edits & uploads revised file
        ↓
Author reviews copyedited version (if configured)
        ↓
Copyeditor finalises and notifies editor
        ↓
Editor sends to Production

Accessing Your Queue

Log in as a Copyeditor, then:

User Menu → Dashboard → My Queue

Submissions in the copyediting stage assigned to you will appear here.
