Subscription Manager
The Subscription Manager administers the journal's subscription program — including individual and institutional subscriptions, access policies, and payment processing.
Role scope
This role is relevant only when the journal uses a subscription-based access model. If the journal is fully open access, this role may not be used.
Responsibilities

Subscription Models in OJS 3.5+
| Model | Description |
|---|---|
| Open Access | All content freely available; subscriptions not required |
| Subscription | All content requires a valid subscription |
| Delayed Open Access | New content subscription-only; older content open after an embargo |
| Hybrid | Some articles open access (APC paid), others subscription |

Enabling the Subscription Module
The Subscription Manager role is only visible after subscriptions are enabled by the Journal Manager:
