Layout Editor (Typesetter)
The Layout Editor (also called the Typesetter or Production Editor) converts the accepted, copyedited manuscript into publication-ready galleys โ typically PDF, HTML, ePUB, or XML formats.
Role scope
Layout Editors work in the Production stage on submissions assigned to them. They upload galley files and coordinate with proofreaders and editors before final publication.
Responsibilitiesโ
